Neighbors celebrated the holiday season island style during the annual Kings Ridge HOA holiday party at nearby Purple Tako on Dec. 16.
A festive combination of new neighbors and long-time residents enjoyed Hawaiian-themed food and drinks, took photos with Santa Claus, were amazed at card tricks and other sleight of hand tricks from a magician, listened to holiday tunes, hula hooped, and most importantly got to know one another better.
By tradition, guests brought items for others in need. This year, a large box of socks for youth and adults were collected and presented to the Austin Street Center in Dallas.
Santa hats off to the wonderful Kings Ridge social committee for planning and staging the fun event. On a somber note, the owners of Purple Tako late in 2018 made the decision to close the restaurant, and we wish them well in future ventures.
