One of the great things about the Kings Ridge neighborhood is its service-oriented personality cultivated by neighbors who put the needs of others first.
With that backdrop, Kings Ridge is partnering with Life at the Ridge and Texas Homes Network to stock the shelves of Minnie’s Food Pantry (which serves the Plano area) with a food drive
On Saturday, Jan. 12, your street’s volunteer block captain will deliver a bag to your home. Please fill it with non-perishable canned and boxed food items and place it on your porch next Saturday, Jan. 19 by 8 am. If you are unable to place your bag on Jan. 19, please coordinate pick up with your block captain.
Non-perishable canned or boxed food items are welcomed (please avoid glass and expired items).
Items most needed are:
Canned meats, fruit, beans, vegetables & soup
Peanut butter/Jelly
Bagged Rice/Beans
Boxed or packaged potato products
Spaghetti/Spaghetti Sauce/Pasta
Macaroni & Cheese
Flour/Sugar
Infant Formula
Baby Food
If anyone would like to help distribute bags or collect the filled bags, please let block captain coordinator Stephanie Davis know. She’s [email protected], 214-668-6466.
If you have a student in need of service hours for school or an organization, this would be a great opportunity to earn such hours. The coordinating team will also be needing neighbors with trucks to help collect and transport food the morning of Jan. 19. Please contact Stephanie if you’d like to assist.
Thank you to all in advance for helping make our neighbors stand out as an active, passionate and caring member of society.
