Colorful flyers are being taped to all 579 Kings Ridge homes to prepare for our award winning National Night Out celebration, parade and parade on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
And Kings Ridge has once again received one of the five available NNO banners from the Plano Police and it’s posted at the Round Springs oval near our south pond.
The neighbor, dogs on leash parade (prizes for best entries) starts at 6:35 p.m. sharp at 6913 Crystal Falls and Kings Manor with Fire Engine 13 and the Hebron HS drum line.
City of Plano leaders and first responders will share brief remarks on safety, crime prevention and community engagement at the phase 2 greenbelt nearest 6917 Traceland at 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to best entries!
We have received gracious support from several neighbors, but WE NEED MANY MORE VOLUNTEERS FRIENDS!
For the National Night Out celebration to be a success, volunteers are needed for these things:
If you own a generator and can loan it for the evening, that’d save us $90
Parade judges (2 or 3)
NNO banner holder during parade (2)
Food servers (5 people each for five, 30-minute shifts)
Water jug and lemonade refillers (2)
Bounce house supervisors (2)
End of evening break down crew (7)
Volunteers are asked to please reach neighbor and NNO co-chair Bill Kula at 214-789-1644 or billkula21@gmail.com to discuss how you can help. Our NNO planning team appreciates your consideration of helping make our 22nd annual celebration the best ever. We’ll have 500 complimentary street tacos (chicken and also veggie) plus about 45 pizzas (cheese, veggie, meat) and drinks.
We’ll have face painters, bounce houses, art tables, 500 complimentary street tacos (chicken and also veggie) plus about 45 pizzas (cheese, veggie, meat) and drinks. If you know of a Plano eatery than can partner with us for hand-held Asian items (we have a budget) like egg rolls, spring rolls or samosas, reach Bill please to make a connection as we like to work with Plano groups.
