March 10 update:
The City of Plano has begun repairs on the streets throughout the community. Areas of repair may cause accessibility issues to homeowner driveways for up to two to three days while the concrete cures. The City of Plano thanks you for your patience during this community improvement.

Original note from Feb. 13
During tonight’s City of Plano Town Hall involving our city manager and several senior leaders, questions from residents were answered about a variety of housing and neighborhood issues.

The director of public works, Gerry Cosgrove, answered a question I posed from our @KingsRidgeHOA Twitter handle in advance about the recently launched sidewalk renovation and barrier ramp project that began this week on several streets in the southern phase of the neighborhood.

According to Cosgrove, the maintenance will focus on 7,500 square feet of sidewalk repairs, so only a portion of Kings Ridge, and will also include some street repairs.

The first phase of the street project involves Stillwater, Grand Hollow, Ladbrook Court, Tempest Circle, Falling Water and Lost Arbor Court.

In a few weeks, a second phase of the project will begin in our middle phase. That will involve streets east of Kings Manor including Fullerton, Autumwood, Medallion, Canyon Falls, Beckworth, Rainwood and Traceland. That work will also involve local street repairs.

A third phase will involve sidewalk and street repairs on the main thoroughfares of Round Springs, Whisperfield and Kings Manor. Cosgrove, said City of Plano crews – not contractors – hope to do some additional sidewalk repairs following the initial work involving subcontractors in other parts of the neighborhood.

For any questions about the City of Plano work, including any damage to your water sprinklers, yard or vehicles, should contact the Public Works department at 972-769-4140. All neighbors are encouraged to drive extra carefully while crews are working in the neighborhood.
