The Kings Ridge HOA conducted its annual meeting May 14 and elected two new board members based on votes cast by neighbors who attended in person or submitted their designated proxy in advance.

Ward Olgreen and Paul Jenkins were elected as new board members, replacing two board seats that were completed by Jerry Hogue and Michael Sturtevant. Ward and Paul will serve a two-year term.

Ward and Paul join Paul Nolte and Lisa Williams who have one year remaining as board of directors.

Ward, who has previously served on the Kings Ridge HOA board, will serve as president. Paul, who had served as president, will serve as vice president. Lisa will continue serving as secretary. Paul, who previously served as a board member at his previous HOA in East Texas, will serve as treasurer. The new board will select one resident to fill a fifth board seat and member-at-large role (two-year term) that was completed by Greg Stiebling.

The board is assisted by committee chairs and Real Manage property manager Cynthia Urquidez from RealManage, who can be reached at 972-380-3505, x1585 and KinRidge@ciramail.com.

Neighbors Invited to Join Monthly Board Meetings
The board typically meets once a month, with the exception of one month in summer, and all neighbors are encouraged and invited to participate in the board meetings that normally take place at nearby Parr Library.

During the annual meeting, Paul provided a summary of accomplishments and goals of the board. Each committee chair provided a summary about activity involving the areas they oversee including architectural control, communications, safety, block captains, landscaping, and social events.

Additional discussion involved the formalization of a welcome committee to help engage neighbors who move into Kings Ridge.

Two new block captains volunteered during the annual meeting, leaving the need for 14 more neighbors to volunteer to serve as block captains for their street. Block captains interact with neighbors on their street to provide breaking news and information, keep neighbors engaged in matters that affect all of Kings Ridge and serve as a point of contact to help welcome new neighbors on their street.

If you are interested in serving as a block captain on any of the following streets, please contact block captain chair Stephanie Davis at stephaniedavis75024@hotmail.com.

Block captains being sought for the following streets: Belcrest, Brook Forest, Cabbott, Cannon Falls, Clear Well, Grand Falls, Kildare, Luxborough, Moregate, Petticoat, Portobello, Redstone, Round Springs, Stinnett and Traceland.
